This Web site provides an overview of events and activities for our nurses, opportunities for our nurses to further advance their clinical practice through education, and celebrates their outstanding contributions to the Medical Center.
Nurses at the University of Chicago Medical Center are a valuable and integral part of our acclaimed care teams. They work side by side with other healthcare professionals. In addition, our nurses work with patients from all walks of life and handle care needs at every level of complexity.
Our dedicated nurses and their commitment to excellence in patient care are the foundation of the Department of Nursing at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Demonstration of this commitment was confirmed on February 14, 2007 when we received a call from The American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet Commission announcing that the University of Chicago Medical Center has been awarded Magnet Recognition.
